WV Parent Training and Information provides up-to-date information on special education, health care, related services, and events that meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities, including children, youth, and their families.
If your child, aged 8 to 21, has a disability and an IEP or 504 Plan, it’s never too early to begin planning for their post-secondary transition. Guiding the Journey: A Transition Training Program for Parents is designed to help you navigate this important process.
This program helps parents and caregivers understand the transition process and how their role evolves. Expert guest speakers will provide valuable insights and share essential resources to ensure families are well-prepared for the road ahead.
